
马来西亚中华大会堂总会(华总) Federation of Chinese Associations Malaysia (Huazong)
The Federation of Chinese Associations Malaysia (Huazong) was founded in late 1991 as a leading Chinese national organization by the 13 state of Chinese Assembly Halls in Malaysia. Its establishment is a long-awaited result in realization of the common aspiration of the Chinese community.
Currently there are over 10,000 registered Chinese associations in Malaysia. Most of them are dialect groups, surname groups, trade associations, cultural and educational bodies. These associations are also the direct members of the respective Chinese Assembly Halls in various states, and indirectly members of Huazong. In other words, Huazong becomes the leading Chinese organization focusing on matters related to culture, education, economy and social status of the Chinese community.

Objectives:
The objectives of Huazong are as follows:
1. To promote goodwill and unity among the various ethnics in the country.
2. To discuss and deal with matters of importance and interest to the members.
3. To offer views on government policies and implementations affecting its members.
4. To promote and participate in cultural, educational, social and economic work consistent with the Federal Constitution.
5. To liaise with other societies having similar objectives as those of the Association in furtherance of the above objectives.
The objectives of Huazong and the 13 Chinese Assembly Halls encompass all aspects of cultural, educational, social and economic work while other Chinese associations are classified according to categories or objectives, namely dialect groups, surname groups, social welfare, culture, religions, trade, sports, youth, education etc.

Activities:
For the past 34 years, we are proud of our achievements in various fields. With the support and cooperation offered by the Chinese community, we have successfully conveyed the wishes of the Chinese community to the Government. We also voice out the opinions and the stand of the Chinese community on politics, economics, culture, education, social and religion, so that the problems faced by the Chinese community can be given timely concerns.
Huazong has frequently met with the Cabinet Ministers, Deputy Ministers and Director General of Government agencies to discuss problems and issues faced by Chinese community.
Besides, Huazong has set up several cultural funds and education funds to sponsor various cultural projects, as well as to provide study loans and scholarships to needy students.
The Malaysia Chinese Cultural Festival is the most successful event organized by Huazong and the 13 State Chinese Assembly Halls. The Malaysia Chinese Cultural Festival was first held in Selangor in 1984, after that it has become a yearly event organized by the 13 State Chinese Assembly Halls in rotation.
The activities and programs of The Malaysia Chinese Cultural Festival including lantern marching parades, cultural and literature seminars and lectures, cultural performances like various cultural dancing and singing from all races, lion dance or dragon dance, lantern making competitions, spring couplets and Chinese Calligraphy competitions, traditional Chinese martial arts demonstration, fashion show of Chinese costumes, traditional handicrafts exhibitions, food carnivals and food fairs.
Recently we have made The Malaysia Chinese Cultural Festival to reflect the roots and cultures of the various ethnics. The Malay and Indian cultural organizations have been invited to contribute to some of the programs like Indian cultural dance or traditional Malay wedding reception and Dikir Barat performance. We also invited the states’ Tourism Board to participate in the festival.
We believe that these activities will help in generating a greater interest of the public in Chinese culture and also to promote a better understanding among various ethnics in Malaysia.

马来西亚中华总商会(中总) The Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (ACCCIM)
Founded on 2nd July 1921, The Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (ACCCIM) has 17 Constituent Members located separately in the 13 states and Federal Territories of Malaysia. Direct and indirect membership of all Constituent Members are well over 110,000, representing Malaysian Chinese companies, individuals and trade associations in particular and the Chinese business community in general. Membership of ACCCIM includes Eminent Members, Associate Members, and more than 8,000 young entrepreneurs.
ACCCIM has established an extensive collaboration network, having signed numerous Memorandums of Understanding and Economic Cooperation Agreements with overseas chambers of commerce and economic organizations. Strengthening its global ties, ACCCIM successfully hosted the 7th World Chinese Entrepreneurs Convention (WCEC) in 2003 and again the 17th edition in 2024. Currently, ACCCIM serves as a member of the World Chinese Entrepreneurs Convention (WCEC) Advisory Committee.
ACCCIM is a member of the National Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (NCCIM), an apex organisation comprising five principal private sector bodies, namely ACCCIM, Malay Chamber of Commerce Malaysia (DPMM), Malaysian Associated Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (MAICCI), Malaysian International Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MICCI), and the Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (FMM).
ACCCIM maintains a strong rapport with government ministries and agencies, serving as a key channel for consultation on a broad range of issues. It actively participates in consultative panels, dialogues, and seminars with the government, fostering regular engagement with chambers of commerce, trade organizations, and major Chinese associations in Malaysia to discuss and exchange insights on economic, trade, and community-related matters.
To further its commitment to economic development, ACCCIM established the Socio-Economic Research Centre (SERC Sdn. Bhd.) in 2010 as a dedicated think tank. SERC conducts in-depth research on economic issues, enabling ACCCIM to provide concrete and strategic policy recommendations to the government, ultimately contributing to Malaysia’s national economic growth.
ACCCIM's representative, consultative, and service functions are widely recognized. As an organization that unites diverse sectors of the business community—including wholesale and retail, trade, manufacturing, construction and property, services, agriculture, and primary industries—it strives to harmonize differing viewpoints and economic interests, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes for all stakeholders.

Malaysia Retail Chain Association (MRCA) was established in 1992 to unite Malaysian retailers and address their concerns as a collective voice.
Today, MRCA represents over 550+ members and 40,000 outlets, providing over 400,000 job opportunities in Malaysia and abroad.
The association mobilizes its resources to organize collaborations, engagement, education, seminars, information sharing, and programs that centralize technology as an agent of change for the betterment of members' businesses and operations.

The Malaysia Retailers Association (MRA) was founded in 1982 and is a prominent and well-established voice, leading and representing the retail industry in Malaysia. With a membership comprising 160 major retail and retail-related companies, MRA accounts for approximately 26% or RM31 billion of the Malaysian retail market. Its extensive network spans over 15,000 retail outlets and employs more than 260,000 staff nationwide.
MRA is also the only representation from Malaysia and is one of the founding members of the Federation of Asia-Pacific Retailers Association (FAPRA), the umbrella organisation of 18 retail associations in the Asia-Pacific region. Member countries/regions of FAPRA include China, Chinese Taipei, Fiji, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam.

The Malaysia Entrepreneurs’ Development Association (Persatuan Usahawan Maju Malaysia – PUMM) has been a leading force in empowering entrepreneurs and driving Malaysia’s economic development for the past 30 years. The Branding Association of Malaysia was founded in 2000 with the noble goal of developing the potential of Malaysian brands in order to allow them to be successful in the modern global market. Our vision - then and now - is to witness our esteemed brand members attain international recognition.
Branding Association works steadily towards this vision in many ways, including - but not limited to - providing learning and education platforms, organising business networking programmes, offering members branding opportunities through media tie-ups and working closely with government agencies.

SME Association of Malaysia (formerly SMI Association of Malaysia) was established on 13th July 1995 with the key objectives of fostering the establishment and development of SMEs as one of the key engines of economic growth of the country. Since its inception, the Association has organized numerous conferences, seminars, training and exhibitions to educate and elevate its members as well as the SMEs community in Malaysia.
The Association actively engages in dialogues with the government to provide inputs on policies, and collaborates with the ministries and agencies for the development of strong, vibrant, competitive, and resilient SMEs.

PIKOM, The National Tech Association of Malaysia is an association formed in 1986, representing the digital technology (TECH) industry in Malaysia. Its membership currently stands at more than 1,000 active companies involved in a whole spectrum of digital TECH products and services which command more than 80% of the National Digital Economy.
The industry contributed 23.5% worth RM427.7 billion to GDP in 2023 and poise to hit the target of 25.5% by 2025.
As the Voice of the digital TECH Industry, PIKOM embraces the task of growing the size and capabilities of the digital TECH industry in Malaysia by creating opportunities for its members as well as all Malaysians to capture the benefits offered by advances in digital TECH.

马来西亚-中国总商会 Malaysia-China Chamber of Commerce (MCCC)
Founded in 1990, Malaysia-China Chamber of Commerce (MCCC) is a non-governmental, non-profit, multi-ethnic and independent business association.
MCCC aims at promoting interaction, cooperation and development in trade, investment and other industrial and commercial fields between Malaysia and China as well as protecting the interests of our members.
MCCC has 10 branches in different states: Malacca, Perak, Johor, Penang, Terengganu, Sabah, Sarawak, Kelantan, Pahang and Kedah- Perlis. Currently, MCCC has over 2,080 corporate members, covering trade, manufacturing, finance, agriculture, real estate, tourism, education, consultation, services and other industries.
Meanwhile, MCCC also established the Young Entrepreneurs Committee and Women Entrepreneurs Committee to unify youth and women entrepreneurs, fostering new leadership and assisting MCCC to promote the affairs of the Chamber.
Following the rise of China, MCCC has become increasingly important as a platform to promote Sino-Malaysian economic and trade development. On top of forming tight cooperation with government agencies such as the Ministry of International Trade And Industry Malaysia, Ministry of Finance Malaysia, Ministry of Tourism Malaysia, Ministry of Primary Industries Malaysia, business associations and China Enterprises Association in Malaysia, we also maintain close relationship with relevant Chinese government agencies such as the Economic & Commercial Counsellor’s Office of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Malaysia, Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council (OCAOSC), All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade(CCPIT), China Overseas Exchange Association (COEA), China-ASEAN Expo Secretariat, China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit Secretariat, China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC), All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, China International Cooperation Association of SMES (Cicasme), China Association of Enterprises with Foreign Investment (CAEFI) and so forth.
With the support of Guangdong Tourism Bureau, MCCC has been appointed as the Guangdong Tourism Cooperation and Promotion Center Malaysia since 2014. In addition, from the beginning of 2015, MCCC was commissioned by the Chengdu Overseas Exchange Association (CDOEA) to become its Overseas Liaison Office. Now in 2023, MCCC was commissioned by Guangdong E-Commerce Association (GDCEA) as the Overseas Liaison Office.
On November 2023, MCCC also has been appointed as the Chengdu Televideomedicine Station in Malaysia by Chengdu Overseas Chinese Affairs Office and Chengdu Integrative Medicine Hospital.
In addition to frequent reception of delegations from various provinces and cities in China, MCCC also organizes, coorganizes or participates in exhibitions, trade and investment fairs, such as Canton Fair, China-ASEAN Expo, Expo Central China, Western China International Fair, China-Northeast Asia Expo, China International Fair for Investment & Trade (CIFIT), China Harbin International Economic and Trade Fair, China (Ningxia) International Halal Food/Muslim Commodities Festival and the Investment & Trade Fair, China (Qinghai) International Halal Food and Products Fair, East China Fair, Kunming Fair, Yiwu Imported Commodities Fair, China International Small and Medium Enterprises Fair, Guangdong 21st Century Maritime Silk Road International Expo and so forth.
In 2002, MCCC organized the first " China - ASEAN Cooperation Forum". This forum was held to discuss the construction of a free trade zone for China-ASEAN 1.9 billion population.
Hereafter, MCCC has seized the opportunity to organize the "Malaysia-China Entrepreneurs Conference" (MCEC) yearly since 2011. In 2014, 2016, 2018, 2020 and 2023, the MCEC has even been held beyond border in Xiamen, Chengdu, Nanjing, Fuzhou and Haikou, China respectively. The MCEC is highly recognized by all circles as it plays an important role in promoting the economic and trade cooperation between Malaysia and China.
Although the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak in 2020 has restricted cross-border movement and impacted the global economy, however the advanced technology has allowed MCCC to overcome the geographical boundaries and challenges. The MCEC 2020 Cloud Conference has made history due to significant online numbers of attendees of 165,000 worldwide and the MCEC 2021 & MCYEC 2021 at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre was set a new attendance record, 230,000 attendees joined the hybrid event, proving once again that Malaysia and China have good relationship and are working hard to overcome the difficult times.
马来西亚华裔女企业家总会 Malaysia Chinese Women Entrepreneurs Association (MCWEA)
MCWEA is the acronym name for Malaysia Chinese Women Entrepreneurs Association. It is founded in 2011, by our current founding President Lady Puan Sri Susan Cheah. The incumbent President is Datin Sri Jessie Wong who has continued leading MCWEA for many more brilliant achievements since 2016 till today.
MCWEA has more than 200 members from all states with Headquarters in KL City centre, and its regional offices located in KL/ Selangor, Malacca, Penang and Perak.

东盟连锁•企业联合会 ASEAN Retail – Chains & Franchise Federation (ARFF)
Inaugurated in early 2008, Founding President Professor Dato’ Dr. Chin See Keat was appointed by the ASEAN Business Advisory Council at the 27th ASEAN BAC Meeting to lead the ASEAN RETAIL-CHAINS & FRANCHISE FEDERATION (ARFF) as its chairman.
ARFF falls under the auspices of ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN BAC). ASEAN BAC is mandated by the ASEAN leaders as the official ASEAN linkage: -
1. To provide private sector feedback and guidance to boost efforts towards economic integration.
2. To identify priority areas for consideration by the ASEAN leaders.
The federation was established to stimulate economic growth in the retail chain and franchise sectors while developing commercial opportunities throughout the entire ASEAN region and beyond. ARFF also serves as the bridge for international cross-learning between entrepreneurs and successful industrial players, given the multitude of members that have joined with a similar goal in mind.
ASEAN BUSINESS ADVISORY COUNCIL – ASEAN BAC
The ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN BAC) was inaugurated in April 2003 at the ASEAN Secretariat in Jakarta, Indonesia.
ASEAN BAC is mandated by the ASEAN Leaders at their 7th ASEAN Summit in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam on 5-6 November 2001 as the official linkage to provide private integration and to identify priority areas for considerations by the ASEAN Leaders.
In fulfilling the mandate to provide policy recommendations to the ASEAN Leaders, ASEAN BAC organizes the annual ASEAN Business & Investment Summit (ASEAN-BIS) to coincide the ASEAN Summits.
Each ASEAN country would have 3 ASEAN BAC members selected based on their experience and influence in their respective industries from the private sectors. ASEAN BAC members are appointed by their heads of government to represent their countries and execute or implement the various economic directives determined by the ASEAN Leaders.
With that, ARFF was formally launched on 24th May 2008 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC), by the Honourable Minister of International Trade & Industries of Malaysia, YAB Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin (8th Prime Minister of Malaysia). Being designated under the tourism and retail services category, ARFF officially registered as the ASEAN Retail-Chains & Franchise Federation with the Malaysian Registrar of Societies in 2009.

The ASEAN Outstanding Business Award (AOBA) - was successfully run since 2011, witnessing the birth of countless of outstanding entrepreneurs. AOBA is an annual corporate event organized by the ASEAN Retail-Chains & Franchise Federation (ARFF). It is a strategic cooperation platform for capital tycoons and entrepreneurs to talk about the “Belt and Road” initiative.

ASEAN Franchise Expo & Symposium (AFES) is an initiative established by the Ministry of Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Malaysia and ASEAN Retail-Chains & Franchise Federation (ARFF) to realize the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) Blueprint.

Our mission is to promote a sustainable, equitable, and vibrant ESG ecosystem that connects and empowers all stakeholders, fosters collaboration, and drives positive change toward a better future for all
We aspire to be the “voice of the industry, by the industry, for the industry” especially for the ”underserved” i.e., specifically the SMEs that contributes to ~40% of Malaysia’s GDP.
We want to be the catalyst, facilitator, promoter and enabler for ESG adoption and development in Malaysia, delivering on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG17) call to action plan adopted by The United Nations.

Established in 1998 based on recommendations from the High-Level Finance Committee on Corporate Governance, MICG contributes to developing Malaysia’s governance and sustainability landscape. This commitment is manifested through diverse initiatives, including professional development programmes, collaborative ventures with industries, and the promotion of insightful thought leadership.
As Malaysia’s Corporate Governance Council and SME Governance Working Group member chaired by the Securities Commission Malaysia, MICG actively promotes governance excellence across diverse business sectors. This membership reflects the Institute’s commitment to fostering transparency, accountability, and sustainable business practices within the Malaysian corporate landscape.
Looking forward, MICG is expanding its business scope to include advisory and research services on governance and sustainability.
